My mother purchased this crib for my baby shower. It took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble. I was pleasantly surprised to find the wood very sturdy. The crib looks fragile from the picture but the wood is just as thick as the high end cradles from green frog art, but at least 3x less cost. It looks perfect with the rest our bedroom set which is also dark cherry. The mattress is thin, however 2inches is actually the normal size for a crib mattress. I bought another mattress to place on top for my own piece of mind. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the flush bronze screws can be seen from the headboard and foot board. 4 wooden caps could have solved this problem. Otherwise gorgeous cradle I am sure my little girl will love it, I do.

So nice! Very thick sturdy wood. I would want to save this. The only downside is finding cradle bedding that fits it just right. I bought my cradle bedding at carousel bedding & the bumper was about 2 inches too short. Not enough to bother me that bad though. I would still reccomend this to everyone. You'll need to buy a cradle matress though, the one that comes with this is super thin.

This is so pretty and was easy to put together! I can't wait to use it! If you are concerned about the cradle rocking, it seems more steady with the locks down on tile than on padded carpet.
