This TV stand is GORGEOUS and was easy to assemble. Somehow, we got in on a miraculous shipping deal and the product was shipped for FREE. Our 52" TV fits beautifully, as does our cable box, Blu-ray player, DVD/VHS player, and 5 of my husband's video game systems! The frosted glass hides all of the gaming systems and wires, and it's very easy to keep clean. GREAT investment!

While this would make a fine TV stand, I purchased this as an entertainment center and center-channel speaker stand for my 58" wall mounted Plasma.
My needs were very specific:
1) Low and wide - to fill the wall space beneath my TV, to accommodate several A/V components, and to support the abnormally large center channel speaker in my system.
2) Both enclosed and open shelves - Some components I like to have visible & accessible, like the DVD and A/V receiver. Others like the HTPC, not so much. This unit has both, which I've found to be rare in this form factor.
3) Contemporary design - Most stands in this category tend to be minimalist and almost by definition will not satisfy the above criteria. This unit has all the utility typically found in traditionally styled pieces, while maintaining a clean, modern look.
The quality is as good as any knock-down furniture I've owned - probably better than most.
While packaged rather well, mine arrived with major dings in all three horizontal pieces. It was quite evident that the box had met with the flat side of a lift fork at some point. I called the manufacturer, and replacement pieces were sent out at no charge and minimal fuss. They did require the registration number that is printed on the instruction paperwork.
The replacements took about 2 weeks to arrive, and were packed like military hardware.
Considering the 3 week delivery time that the Super Saver free shipping entailed, it took me about 6 weeks to get everything squared away, but I am ultimately happy with my purchase, especially at this price.
Highly recommended to those with patience.

We will be in town for a year and need an inexpensive TV stand. We ordered the South Shore City Life 50" TV Stand in Honeydew - 4257-662. If you notice that there are two models, this one is the one with the two drawers at the base and no glass doors. Assembly was easy enough, especially if you've assembled things before. The boards are heavy, but the finish scratches easily, so you want to be careful when assembling. The final product was relatively sturdy considering that there are no interlocking parts (only screws/bolts), and the last little bit of wobbling was resolved when we nailed the thin backing board to the back, which was surprising. It looks more suitable for a college dorm, but I think it will serve its purpose for the next year.
